This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

There is a Moderate Risk, or a level 4 out of 5 for severe
weather through this evening for most of the Outlook Area. All
severe hazards will be possible including damaging winds of 60 to
80 mph, tornadoes, and large hail. In addition, repeated rounds of
thunderstorms may bring an isolated flash flood risk and ponding
of water.

Some tributary rivers across eastern Iowa are experiencing
flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood
Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

There will be a chance for more thunderstorms on Friday. It is
still uncertain if any storms will be strong or severe, as well as
the ability to produce heavy rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will be needed through this evening.

  Wapsipinicon River near Anamosa Shaw Rd affecting Linn, Jones and
  Cedar Counties.

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and be prepared for possible flood warnings.

* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects
  residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water
  affects businesses along the river near Calamus.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The river is beginning to rise.
  - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
